It's All Greek To Me ::Mika:: Empty
PostSubject: It's All Greek To Me ::Mika::   It's All Greek To Me ::Mika:: EmptyWed Apr 23, 2014 9:46 am

It'd been a few nights now after the large CEO party he had attended. Alcohol was not on the agenda nor was having sex with another and as a matter of fact, the world seemed simply boring to Atsushi for the time being. Fully normal humans were going on with their days in the park. Children at play in the playground area, laughing with joy as they squealed on the swing, on the see-saw, or going down the slide. Watching children as he sat on the bench made him smile gently, thinking of his own childhood even though he was away from his mother. The joy that came from such tiny moments in life was something grand when one is that small. The smiles and the ring of high-pitched laughter was a reminder to Atsushi that life was too short to waste on worrying about the next day or how one may live. Happiness was key to life as it was to many aspects of humanity.

Sitting on the bench still, one leg crossing the other as he lounged back he kept an eye on the mothers, on the fathers, the adults that took care of the children in their own ways. It baffled him to see a father ignoring their child to write a text message or email and miss a pivotal moment in their offspring's childhood. With the blink of an eye that moment is gone and could never be replaced. Mothers gossiping to one another as their children cried or had a baby in her arms suckling on a pacifier, not being paid attention to of the small sounds they made which made sense to them but not the parents. It seemed rather sad and disappointing to Atsushi that these parents now didn't take the time to be with their children and give them the attention they deserved.

If I were a parent - he thought to himself, shaking his head of the sheer silliness of it with a chuckle. There was no way he was fit to be a parent or even thinking about spawning another of his genes. That would be frightening in itself alone more so if it were a boy child. However, he had thought to himself that if he were to ever become a parent he would not ignore his child as these humans did. 'As these humans did' he scoffed to himself at the thought. He himself was half human so there was no point in really thinking like that in the least. Shaking his head softly he watched a couple jogging past him, following them with his eyes down the concrete trail of the park, both arms stretched out across the back of the bench.

Once they went out of sight Atsushi spotted a young woman, sketching quickly over her paper filling it with images of the park surrounding her. Children at play and the leaves blooming in new buds and sprouts. A smile spread over his gentle expression as he leaned over with folded hands together in his lap as he couldn't take his eyes off this woman. She may have thought him to be a creeper but damn. Here was a fully grown man sitting in the park all alone on the bench like something out of a drama movie. Some old man watching life pass him by and not taking a chance. Although a chance had presented itself with the appearance of this young woman. Definitely an artist from what he could tell at his view point. Quite honestly the woman was perfectly flawless to him. Beautiful even and that compliment did not leave his mouth very often nor even his thoughts.

For the time being, he kept himself on the bench watching the young woman with interest.

It's All Greek To Me ::Mika:: Empty
PostSubject: Re: It's All Greek To Me ::Mika::   It's All Greek To Me ::Mika:: EmptyWed Apr 23, 2014 10:56 am

Mika paid no heed to the attention on her, though aware of the small tugging sensation at the back of her head that said there was a pair of eyes on her. After awhile her attention slowed as she could still feel the staring, and looked up to see who it was. However when her eyes finally found the culprit she felt herself practically caught off guard, blinking and turning her head back to the paper, tentatively scribbling out a detailed flower as a distraction. She wasn't sure why she'd felt so shy all of a sudden, it wasn't like she normally was. She pushed herself to wait again, finishing off a few details on the piece until she felt it was perfect.

This time, she has reason to look up and with no limit to how bold she was about it as Mika looked over to the man, looking over his long hair and thin, pleasing features, helpless to wonder as to why he was heeding so much attention to her of all people. She herself felt there was nothing that pulled her apart from the crowd, not by much anyway. Was it because she had herself sat there with a sketch book out? That wasn't odd though, there were others do did the same often enough. Her stare felt like it went on forever as she processed all her thoughts, though reality had gone by faster in a mere few blinks of the eyes. She looked at the sketch book again, the page filled to every last bit till there was no white left, and flipped the page.

Switching the tool of trade however and putting the pencil away, she found some charcoal in a side bag kept at her hip and began to mar the page with it. It wasn't long at all before features began to form, detailing out a slender well formed face. Feeding all of her attention into the curve of the lips, the point of his nose and gentle slant of almond eyes. She followed the line of his eyebrows, giving the eyes more expression now and then moving to fill out the hair, letting it fall and frame around the face that seemed to almost have a gentle look of surprise on it. She shaded it in, fingers a mess among the smear of dark shaded color until she was finished with it, finding the tip of the page where she'd left it blank. 'Rather than stare, you should speak' She scrawled, the letters perfectly formed.

It's All Greek To Me ::Mika:: Empty
PostSubject: Re: It's All Greek To Me ::Mika::   It's All Greek To Me ::Mika:: EmptyWed Apr 23, 2014 12:14 pm

Watching this woman scratch over the surface of paper was nothing short of exquisite. The strokes she made and the way the knuckles and bone shifted in her hand with this stroke, that line, her wrist popping in various positions as she continued on drew in his attention. Before he knew it his eyes were trained on her hand and the now charcoal piece being smudged over the stark surface. Soon enough the image came out more clearly. With raised brows as a soft smile he noted clearly - that it was his own face.Within what seemed like a short amount of time the sun's shadow had already moved a full two inches over the ground, time had once again become nothing, but it had become a moment in time he would keep as a treasured memory forever.

The paper was turned over and the sketch pad held out with the message scrawled across the white corner left. A soft laugh came from his throat and barely left his lips as he stood from the bench which he believed had an imprint of his aura left behind he had been sitting there for so long. Taking slow strides in his foot steps Atsushi came to stand before the young woman and didn't mind getting his pants dirty to sit in the ground beside her. Sometimes in life it demanded that you take that chance and get a little dirty to find a diamond in the rough.

Pointing to the drawing with one eye closed his smile gentle and warm as he glanced up to her. "This guy was pretty lucky to have your attention long enough to create an image of him. You must be a goddess to create a likeness of one with such charm and sophistication as yourself." No sooner did those words leave his lips than he felt an odd pull to her and a strong sense of familiarity. "I feel like I know you. Have we met?" his head cocking to the side as he leaned back a bit, holding out his hand to take hers, charcoal smudge and all in his own grip, lifting it to kiss the top of her hand. "I'm Atsushi. Your artwork is absolutely beautiful."

She waited until the other was before her before looking up at him, really looking at him this time and taking in each little detail that was given to her. Including the threads that hung on the other, showing a different color than that of normal humans. She was nearly about to reach out to touch it when the other took her hand, her attention resuming back on the others words again as her eyes focused on Atsushi.

"He possesses a great form of beauty, it would be blind of me to fail to notice it." She said softly, eyes moving down to the others hand. "Nowhere near a goddess, but I can appreciate a likeness any day of the week." She answered honestly, attention focused on the red thread attached to the other, a bemused expression settling itself on her face as she looked at the other with a half smile. "You may have met a likeness of me once upon a time, but no, we have no." She murmured, almost seeming to forget to pull her hand back from Atsushi's warm hand that had a very gentle touch to it.

"Mika." She said, moving to remove the paper from the book now, careful not to crease it before handing it to the other. "What brings you out here today? Leisurely stroll in the park? Off on some kind of adventure maybe?" She questioned, moving to put the booklet away now, finding a rag to wipe her hands as clean as they could be before closing the bag once more and looking back at the long haired fellow. "Though I suppose you can't be too terribly busy, with how fascinated you seem to have become with me."

Atsushi's smile brightened listening to the young woman. She had a way with words just as he did but, better or so he saw it. He didn't want to let go of her hand just yet, but released it after she pulled back to wipe her hands of the charcoal. He kept watching her eyes where they went just to see what she saw however, he did not see a single thing but the air they breathed and her deep brown eyes that seemed like dark pools which went on forever. Her skin was flawless as were her lips. Plump and as she sopke, he watched every flex of them with each movement. Needless to say Atsushi was captivated by her - a bit confusing to him really. Nonetheless, he was going to keep himself at as much of a distance as he could possibly.

"I swear to you we have. Mika. That's a beautiful name." he smiled softly giving a nod of his head towards her as he took the drawing she made. The drawing was flawless as well, not a single mistake. It looked as though it was done by photography and smudged here and there at the most. "To be quite honest I am only here at the park to watch how people act or rather how they react. A little bit of a leisure time for me. I wanted quiet and I found a goddess in human flesh." her next words almost matched his own with a soft chuckle. Perhaps he was being a bit too obvious that he'd been watching her.

"Are you hungry or want a cup of coffee? My treat if you'd like. It's not often that one meets an artist with a steady amazing hand." his smile becoming gentle as he stood once more, brushing himself off and holding his hand out towards Mika with his palm up and out towards her. This woman had caught his attention so much more than he had expected or wanted to believe. Usually it was Atsushi that was seeking entertainment or fun for the evening, but Mika had caught him off guard. No one had captured his attention as much as she had without a collar included. For the son of a Muse, this was most definitely a first in his life.

"Or maybe this was simply a meant to be meeting." She laughed softly, hand covering her mouth softly as she did before using it to tuck back her hair from her face as she looked at the man again as he spoke. "Aren't you quite the charmer." Her lips curved into a smile, taking the hand offered to her and pulled herself up lightly and moving as well to brush off her clothes.

"Either work for me, as long as it's somewhere that if a whim strikes that I can get it out of my system immediately." There was no limit to what she would draw, to whatever was pleasing to the eye is what she would try to give a permanent life on paper. Though she had no issues dropping whatever she was doing in order to appease a whimsy either.

She stepped down the sidewalk now, looking back at the other as she just moved aimlessly towards the heart of the city. Her hands were brought close together, seeming to play with something that wasn't there as she walked at a comfortable pace. "Out of curiousity, what are you? I can tell you aren't human." she commented, though she hoped this would come as no surprise to the other. It wouldn't be the first time she'd brought on a rude awakening to someone and made their life confusing.

Helping Mika up from the ground, he also helped get her things together carefully and handed them to her before they began walking. His hands slid into his pants' pockets as they stepped down the concrete as every few moments he kept glancing over to her. His smile wouldn't go away and he found himself watching her more often than he probably should have. This girl had really take a hol of him but there was no way he could allow it. He had many people to build up and others to make famous as well, however, Mika had so much of his attention, it almost - didn't matter to him.

Her question came and he had to laugh softly while raising his brows. It was completely unexpected to have that question come to him as such. No one had actually come forward and asked him that question - more or less were able to guess that he wasn't all human. "Actually, my mother is a Muse. My father was human, kind of happened. She was banished from seeing him again and had to renounce me. However, the Muses still see me as one of them. It's a bit difficult to explain." he smiled, running his hands through his hair.

Stepping up to a restaurant, he opened the door for her, allowing her to go inside before him as he motioned to her to move ahead of him.

"How fascinating...sad really, but absolutely fascinating. The gods are unjust at times." She said, giving a shake of her head as she adjusted the bag on her shoulder to a comfortable spot. She wasn't complaining, but carrying as much with her as she did at times, the bag could end up heavier than one would think it would be. She slid her fingers down the strap before looking back at the other again as they walked, not paying much heed as to where they were going. "And your father? What happened to him?" Probably rude to ask, but with him being human, there were limited possibilities to what could have happened to him.

She glanced at the door when they got to it, having been distracted the whole way there but stepping inside as the door opened for her, offering a smile of thanks before stepping into the building and giving it a look around, taking in the details of the place for the moment. "Been here before?"
